Beam Staffs Logo

Beam is an independent charity in Staffordshire that provides support to individuals living with both physical and learning disabilities. They aim to support not just individuals with learning disabilities, but their families to and are huge advocates for independent living. They also act as a resource for parents and carers, providing practical support and advocacy services alongside making vital information accessible and understandable. Beam also helps to support individuals in Stafford with physical and learning disabilities connect with voluntary opportunities, build their employability skills and ultimately find paid work that is both enriching and fulfilling.

 


Staffordshire Women's Aid Logo

Staffordshire Women’s Aid offers a free and confidential service providing specialist support for victims of domestic or sexual violence/abuse. For individuals who come to Newstart4U that may benefit from their support, a dedicated Advocate is provided, alongside providing support to participants who are victims of domestic and/or sexual violence with specialist information, advice and guidance regarding their choices and rights, in areas such as housing, benefits and civil legal remedies.

South Staffordshire Council provide access to training and personal development support for participants living in the South Staffordshire area.

Homes Plus Housing Association provide advice and support on budgeting and welfare benefits as well as housing management support.   .

 


 

Support Staffordshire Logo

Support Staffordshire provides support alongside a matching service for participants interested in volunteering opportunities. They are also present at many Stafford-based work clubs. As a service, they aim to ‘increase skills and knowledge, harness the drive, enthusiasm and energy of people, enhance individual and family livelihood, build capacity in neighbourhoods and communities and improve the relationships and resilience of organisations and individuals.’

 

 


 

Enterprise Support Logo

BES is a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides support to individuals who would like to start their own business. They help people from all backgrounds and all walks of life to create sustainable, successful business across the West Midlands. BES run our two support hubs in Stafford and Cannock where participants can access advice in relation to job search, CV writing and working for themselves.

 


 

Upper Moreton Rural Activities

Upper Moreton Rural Activities deliver a Wellbeing Programme on an operational farm in the Staffordshire countryside. Activities are centred around improving mental health, wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem, as well as building skills. Activities include farm animal care, healthy eating and cooking, woodwork and carpentry, wellbeing walks, dog walking, gardening and landscaping, floristry and more!

 


Oikeiosis CIC deliver practical group work activities in a conservation setting.  This provides participants with opportunities to create friendships, reduce isolation, build self-confidence, learn new work skills, develop team working skills and access other training opportunities as well as contributing to environmental conservation.
